Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark fuchsia color with a small pink head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart berries with a bit of bread and cider. The flavor was tart, sweet and a bit bready with cider and vague berries. Medium length finish. Medium body. A bit disappointing.

On tap at Schilling, pours a clear blonde with no head. Aroma is very musty, with earthy dry apple skins. Flavour is along the same lines, with very musty and earthy apples and low residual sweetness. Too musty and confused to be anything of noteworthiness. Needs refining.

Draught at Beer Mongers, Portland
Dark blood color with pink head. Pleasant drink because it’s fairly sweet, with some character from the elderberries. Lightly tart, this may be the only component reminding that it’s a cider.
Nice.

12 ounce bottle, 4/11/15. Clear golden, thin fizzy off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of dry apples, strong cheese and a bit of apricot. The taste is apricots, dry and sweet apples, dried apricot. Thin bodied, high carbonation.

Tap at Imazato. Cloudy, pale golden color with bubbles but no head. Dry nose, apples, skin, minerals. Crisp and dry, but with nice apple flavor, and just enough sweetness in the middle. A bit of spice, minerals, and something like a savignon blanc character. Good drinking, crisp and nice.

A little bit of pink on a light iced tea colored brew. A nervous smell of rotting soured apples. Really good initial sizzle and the cherry does come thru on the uptake. Yes, lots of unfermented cherry juice it seems, must be added after ferment. Tartness does come thru a little more as the session continues. This stuff makes me worry a little that it will hurt my tummy if I drink too much. Now the alky starts to stick its little head up. Yes, becomes more volatile on the finish fer sure.

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pinky red colour, white foam head which dissipates away and aroma of apple, black cherries, sugary. Taste is fruity cherry, apple, sweetish, tangy with some vanilla & woody notes. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bodied, high carbonation, dry tart finish. Quite drinkable.
