Description
Moon Hill Brewing, Co. is the parent company of our brewpub, the Gardner Ale House. Moon Hill was begun to make beer, food and good times available to the world, with an emphasis on the beer. We began with our brewpub (the Ale House), which now, 10 years later, sports 14 Moon Hill beers on tap and a worthy-of-Boston-or-New York bistro-pub style menu. Now, we are finally ready to distribute our beer beyond our bar and launch our parent’s name, Moon Hill Brewing, Co.! The very same beers you find on tap at the Ale House are now available as Moon Hill Brewing, Co.’s beers on tap at other locations beyond the Gardner Ale House.

On tap at Renegade Pub, East Boston. Murky burnt orange with a cap of white head.  Nose is malt and toast and orange rind and soap.  Flavor drops off just a bit, malt and caramel, there is some tomato or persimmon, then heavy pine and soap.  Dry and bitter finish.  Decent enough.  7 4 6 3 12

Can pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's an opaque light brown with no sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is mix of mild fruit and strong sweet malts, caramel. Taste is strong sweet malts, caramel, and mild fruit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, hard to know if this is old (no born date) so Citra has just really decayed or just overly malty from the start. As is, this is nothing special old school.

Can from Julio's Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a decent sized bubbly white head. Sweet bready malt and candied citrus fruit aroma and flavor. Canned in Feb so not exactly fresh but a tasty old school IPA.
