0.33l bottle. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Lots of dried fruits like dates and raisins both in the aroma and the taste. It shows notes of caramel, toast, nutmeg and some floal hops. A bit boozy but bold and complex. Great one.

On tap. Pours almost black with moderate foamy head. Aroma of dry black coffee, rum, dusty dark chocolate and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with coffee leading and rum more subtle. Powdery dry chocolate finish. Very good.

On tap at Threefold, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has lots of woody roasted malt, plenty of rum, and dusty dry cocoa powder. Flavour has more sugars than expected, melding with the coffee, woody roast, and a touch of cocoa. Really cohesive; the rum barrels work well, the sugars are well-situated, and the coffee is still in there. Excellent.

On tap at Threefold. Pours black with a beige head. Spiced rum, coffee, and roasted malts on the nose. Flavour has lots of roasted malts and coffee with very nice, woody spiced rum character. The base is clear, lots of coffee, and the rum barrels are very well integrated. This is fantastic.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel - Montréal. Pours black with a beige head. Loads of espresso and toasted, bready malts on the nose. Flavour has espresso beans, roasted malts, and properly attenuated dark sugars. Body is full without being overbearing. The complexity of the malt expression is excellent. This is a proper stout.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel - Montréal. Pours a slightly hazy golden blonde with a white head. Sharp pine, resins, and grapefruit on the nose. Flavour has plenty of bitter pine, resins, and grapefruit peels. Good malt base. The hos are aggressive and the malts support it; this is an excellent IPA.
