Description

Orange tinted light brown beer, small white head, fast gone, leaving faint lace. Sweet, liquorice-like nose, faintly nutty. Sweet, again nutty and bready flavours. Sweet, but not sugary, more milke or bread (malt) sugar, fading very slowly. Light bodied, but there is really some malt beefing up the MF. Good session beer, sweet but as it is not cloying it goes down well.

Draught Fully celar gold; small, very fast dwindling transparant white head. Sweet, very malty nose, nearly honey-ish. Estery! Dry-opening Pilsner with (very) far away hops, discreetly German. Light but with a certain grist-body. Feels more bodied than I estimate it probably. Not very outstanding. Good but nowhere outstanding. Less hoppy character than the Lager!

Draught Small white head, some lace; dark golden colour, clear. Herbal, grassy and some faraway malt make up the nose. Sweet and grassy beer, indeed not unlike Helles, but more hopped. Much more body than this beer would warrant. Lots of restsugars. Sweet but decent beer. Halfway between a Franken Vollbier and a Pilsener.

Bottle: Golden colour, firm, lasting white head; distinctive floral hoppy aroma, some hints of alcohol; bitter-malty start, moderate, a bit spicy bitter flavour; medium bodied; ending with a herbal, long lasting hoppy aftertaste; easy drinkable, quite moreish, very fine !

(bottle) Pale amber colour with a medium frothy white head. Aroma of toasted malts, yeasts and a tinge of hops. Grainy mouthfeel, medium body. Soft sweet malty start with traces of caramel turning into a well hopped and lasting bitterdry finish. A moreish Lager !

Bottle. Hazy golden colour. Big white head. A bit spicy smell, smell of grass too. Malty smell as well. Low in carbonation. Smooth balanced taste. Not very bitter for a pilsener. You get some bitternees in the aftertaste. This is a beer i like.

Bottle. Very sweet malt aroma - almost like a cola. Dark brown opaque color. A very unique Weizen flavor - apple, pear, mild sweetness, maybe a hint of the typical banana- highly carbonated but I can’t detect any hops in this at all. This is a very unique dunkel Weizen - smooth and without the typical ’dunkel’ flavor. I really liked this one - have to give it top ratings for its individuality.

Botle. Light banana/clove aroma. Yellow color with some cloudiness but not as much as most Hefes. Crisp flavor with high carbonation but banana and clove flavor not very strong. Nice palate though. Fairly mild Hefe - nothing special.
