Tap at Old Fashioned. Filtered orange tan. Pretty decent overall,no hop tones that are going to blow you away, but OK. Cleanish, kind of bland..in a Session IPA sort of way. Middle of the road, but fresh and enjoyable. OK.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered cola brown body. Soapy off-white/beige head. Really disturbing, massive diacetyl notes in the aroma. Straight up butterscotch. Amateur hour 90s brewpub feel. Weak.

Tap at the spot. Foamy white glass lacing head. Filtered orange tan body. Kind of a grainy high alcohol brewhouse aroma. Pretty decent, but not sure if it is really lagered..I would guess it is. OK.

Tap at Sidedoor. Classic filtered copper orange body. Foamy beige head. It doesnβt quite nail it, but it clearly uses a good amount of hops which impart a nice grassy, garlic tone. The malts are a little flat, caramelly, 90s brewpub feel. Overall this is a better IPA than Lake Louie was making before...but the thick buttery malts really bring it down. Losing the battle against diacetyl for awhile at LL...

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-gold body. Steady, creamy off-white head. Pretty dated IPA in its body and overall crystal malt/grainy mouthfeel, but the hops are interesting, if you search. Almost a pineapple-mandarin thing going on. Worth a try, kind of grows on you.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Clear dark golden color with a medium off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light body with flavors of herbal hops, fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz bottle. Golden tan body, foamy off-white head. Creamy, buttery aroma. A pretty true to style Scottish Ale. Creamy golden malts, touch of caramel. Not much hop character at all, as per the style. Highly sessionable. Pretty decent, but a little bland, lacking much depth or character. At the end of the day this is a relatively true Scottish Ale, and that is commendable.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy looking orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing speckling the glass nicely.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet citrus to bittersweet sticky pine lightly dosed with sweet caramel malts.
The taste was mainly sweet but still tried to get the piney hops to make a play however, they stay subdued for the most part.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was right on par for the style and for me - just enough harshness but didnβt go overboard.
Overall, good APA worthy of having again if I could.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Some floral and resin notes emerge in the taste, but mostly citrus in the form of grapefruit rind and bitter lemon peel.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper amber with small beige head. The aroma is peat, oak, and booze. Thin mouthfeel with sweet roast, light booze, oak and sweet finish. Good.
