Purchased at Steve's Wines in Madison, WI; enjoyed at a fancy holiday party in Milwaukee, WI. I didn't take notes, but remember this being a decent scotch that went down very sweet.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered hazy orange body, thin creamy white head. Full of pungent, earthy apricot flavor, this is a pretty unique offering. Medium bodied, refreshing, with a really nice apricot depth. Some zesty bite up front, but finishes smooth and easy. Refreshing, tasty beer. Juicy, tangy.

Bottle. Pours a deep golden haze with a fair white head. Aroma is off-putting; sour rotten peaches comes to mind. Taste is light grainy malts & resin-like bitterness. Light body and soft carbonation. This beer simply does not taste very good to me.

A golden IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, clover honey and floral hops, faint, but nice. In mouth, a light bodied yet nice IPA with grassy floral hops, decent. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 19 2012.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a two centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, tons of raisins and pit fruits, a bit of toffee and caramel and a little lighter fruitiness. Medium-bodied; Very fruity flavour with grapes, raisins, plums, prunes and a bit of malt noticeable coupled with some darker peat flavours and a hint of bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows some rather sweet and slightly sour notes, but a little complexity with grapes coupled with peat - interesting. Overall, a pretty good scotch with less emphasis on caramel and more on pit fruits - but a very complex beer and a nice all-around flavour make this worth searching out for, especially if you aren’t from the area - as I am not. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Discount Liqour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-December-2012.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow orange with particulate floaties. Large creamy white head that dissipates slowly leaving clumpy lacing. Aroma is grain corn syrup, and resin. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet, lightly bitter. Medium light body. Taste was more like a slight hoppy lager. I can only assume that this sat on the shelves a while, but as-is it was not good.

Gold color with a thick white head that laces the glass. Light hops aroma. Flavor has some sweet malt but also lots of sweet citrus and bread dough. Full flavored, but an astringent aftertaste.

Clear light amber or nice copper glowing body with a hint of an orange tint and a thick, seven centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, yeast, bread, hop pellets, grass, hay and a bit of an earthy note. Medium-bodied; Nice bright light hops at first with a bit of a bready/yeast note then a grassy, herbal hoppy flavour at the end. Aftertaste is relatively mild with the herbal flavours coming out and not much of the hops and hardly any malt. Overall, perhaps a bit too watery and not enough flavours, definitely not enough complexity for the style. Still, nice to try from Wisconsin and worth trying if you aren’t from the area. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trig’s Cellar 70 in Minocqua, Wisconsin on 28-July-2012 for US$1.65 sampled at home in Washington on 09-October-2012.
