Intensiver Anisgeruch. Kräutrig-bitterer Beginn, erkennbarer Hopfen, erschlagen von den Kräuternoten des Jägermeisters. Bitter bleibend, Lebkuchen, ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Wahl des Grundbieres intelligent war. Konstante Aromatik, langer Nachhall, erneut bitter und stark kräutrig. 10/8/8/10/13/9

Bottled 750ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, thanks Vran. Amber coloured, small off-white head, herbs and whiff of pet food in the nose. Unbalanced dry herbal taste. Harsh and not so easy to drink. Fake or cheap Jägermeister taste. Glad to try it but no thanks again.

Aus der Flasche im 2020-07 getrunken. Die Kalifornische Version des w00tstout ist eins meiner Lieblingsbiere von Stone, doch dieses hier ist weit von der US-Version entfernt. Ich habe schon beim Berliner Imperial Russian Stout festgestellt das sie den Stout-Stil nicht treffen. Es hat auch nur kurz eine Schaumkrones und diese ist nicht so feinporige wie es für ein Stout normal wäre. Daher ist dies hier eher ein schokoladiges Schwarzbier mit cremigen Hafereinfluss. Der Whiskyfasseinfluss was wohl ein Slyrs Fass war, hat hier keinen echten Einfluss. Am Ende ein gut trinkbares Bier doch bei einen FLaschenpreis von +25,- Euro stimmt hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gar nicht. Schade!

Soldekket på Fridtjofen, mens vi planlegger sommertoktet til Hardanger - en 0,33 boks (takk til seremonimester Melberg for denne!). Nesten helt klar lys gylden med ok skum. Søte sicilianske citornercitroner, lyse steinfrukter og litt salt. Forfriskende, om enn noe forglemmelig.

Can shared with JMD on the sun deck of Fridtjofen 25.06.20. Translucent golden. Not much head or lacing. Aroma and taste of lemon juice, yellow apples, lychee and lactic acid. OK. Dry and astringent mouthfeel.
