Description
In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, a local brewery in New York City with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team that brewed great beers in the state of New York—done so with effort and thoughtfulness—to represent the “Other Half” of the industry. Today, Other Half craft beers in their Brooklyn brewery and are dedicated to collaborating with breweries both in New York as well as across the world in an effort to constantly move the industry forward while elevating the craft. The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands in local nabes across the country and the world—but always return to their home state of New York and their Brooklyn taproom.

Canned 12/11/25, drunk 1/16/26, as pictured.
Very light floral aromatics with crushed pineapple, some lychee and other mild tropical fruits. Malts are restrained, adding light cracker, light honey, with no alcohol or resin.
Sweeter and richer than expected based on the nose. But there's a massive charge of rich, juicy pear, guava skin, lychee and tangerine. Really nice avoidance of overdone citrus and typical herb/grape. Malts are certainly rich, could be a touch more dry, but do at least amply balance. Low, but generally ample bitterness. Fairly unique in the world of NEIPA, which is not an easy feat.

Can, with a difficult-to-discern date code, maybe 11/4/25?? Not really sure. Drunk 1/13/26, as pictured.
Smells like yogurt. Like mixed berry dannon yogurt, perhaps. Some floral/fruit skin notes definitely from the lychee but not getting coconut, really. Fruits smell real/authentic, juicy, not too sugary. Not too much acidity, either, nor lactose.
In the mouth it's similar. Quite lychee-forward, which is fun. More yogurt character which seems to be the extent of the lactose and lactic acid. Lightly fruity coconut in the background with just enough strawberry acidity and poignancy to balance. Soft, creamy, thick, smoothie-like body. Love em or hate em, it's a well-done smoothie sour.

Canned 12/2/25, drunk 1/13/26, as pictured.
Lots of fruity yeast ester giving a touch of bubble gum, with sweet melon, gummy fruits, and white grape mixed in, as well as sweet white bread and biscuit-like malts to easily balance.
Soft and succulent, with juicy hops yielding fruit salad, gentle grape and sweet melon. Seems to end more malty, with biscuit and white bread overtaking the hops, but there's ample bitterness even after 6+ weeks. Gains more fruitiness as it breathes/warms. Really easygoing and drinkable with great balance of light citrus, tropical fruit, white grape and other notes. Nothing detracting here.

Murky yellow colour, small white head. Some sweetish tropical fruits in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Pale malty, lime, some tropical fruits, light bitterness. Canned 09/2025 so probably lost some of its charm. Nah.
