Description
In 2014, Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman founded Other Half Brewing Company, a local brewery in New York City with a simple mission: to create beers that they wanted to drink from a company that they wanted to be a part of. Their vision was to build a passionate team that brewed great beers in the state of New York—done so with effort and thoughtfulness—to represent the “Other Half” of the industry. Today, Other Half craft beers in their Brooklyn brewery and are dedicated to collaborating with breweries both in New York as well as across the world in an effort to constantly move the industry forward while elevating the craft. The Other Half team believes that local breweries play an important role in their communities which is why they partner with these other likeminded brewers and brands in local nabes across the country and the world—but always return to their home state of New York and their Brooklyn taproom.

Glass of pulp in DC. A little stinky on the nose, grassy, overripe tropicals, mint. The NZ hops bang, minty, grassy, herbal, some tropicals. Medium bodied. Very easy to drink.

Can at Goblet, thx Iris! Hazy yellow body, off-white head. Artichoke, resinous, oniony aroma, bit dank. Smooth, heavily resinous taste, veeeery smooth and slick, actually works. Glad to try it, good one!

Tap at Goblet. Murky golden body, off-white head, thick. Bit oxidized aroma, yeasty, somewhat floral. Sweetish oaty taste, low fruity touches. Not feeling too fresh...

Keg at BD Brum. Hazy pineapple yellow. Thin foamy white head sticks to the rim. Aroma has soft stone fruit and some random fruit from Whole Foods. Flavourwise it has soft fruit sweetness with a vaguely bitter edge. A sour streak then appears from the depths. Gets tang, bab. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough but not blowing me away.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy, pineapple gold with a full finger of fluffy white foam. Aromas of lime, strawberry, passionfruit and dank as it warms. Palate is very similar with nice tropical fruit and berry notes that dominate. Smooth for the ABV.

Aromas are a nice blend of citrus, resin, onion and malt. Flavors are similar to nose. Leans sweet with full body and okay carbonation. Finish follows flavors with malt coming out a little more. Decent.
