22 oz bottle poured. Big IPA here for sure. Dark, thick copper pour with a ton of cream foam head. Comes off as a winter IPA to me. Bold, dense, and warming. Love the label, and descriptors to pair. A roasted heavy malt aroma. Flavor is quite toasty as well. Bold, almost spiced malt constant, with a moderate bitter. Has a doughy side to it as well. Hops more noticeable as it warms. A big toasty beer here. Very unique for an IIPA, or for any beer really. Not bad.

Black with beige head. Full bodied. Roasted malt, chocolate, anise, a bit spicy. Finish is sweet and molasses. Solid especially with the low abv.

Deep amber. Strong crystal malts with citrus hops underneath. Medium chewy body. Finish has a healthy portion of bitterness but not mush flavor or aroma. Malt forward IPA.

Deep brick red. Sweet malts, citrus, light pine notes, toast. Very rounded malt profile. With muted bitterness. Decent.

Bomber from Albertsons. Pours out a cloudy dark amber with thick creamy head . Aroma and taste favor the malts, fark and bready, sea salt caramel. Minor hops bite, a but metallic. Something’s stimulating the salivary glands....More of the English style

Draft 7 oz pour at Toronado, Seattle, for their Rye barrel event. Cool to see Iron Horse in on this. Pours jet black, with a foam ring head. A mixed combination of chocolate and smooth whiskey aroma. Flavor is cool and rich. Chocolate, espresso, and a little nutty. Rich, whiskey late. Nicely done.

Bottle from Albertsons. Dark amber with ruby tinges, foamy head subsides to skin, sheets of lacing. Hoppy , woody aroma. Deep flavors too, caramel and hops. Heat too, and lots of it.(8.7℅ from the label). Pretty rich, and nicely priced. Would love to do a side by side with IH’s Gary.

Bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a sand head. Nose is light chocolate roast coca and some hops. Taste is more of the light roast malts dark chocolate.

Bottle from Albertson’s. Near black pour with small but lasting creamy beige head. Roast grains dominate the aroma, small hint of chocolate, kind of sweet. Taste brings the bitterness, minor sweet notes, kind of dry. Body a tad thin for the style, finish lingers bitter on the palate.. A bit underwhelming for a RIS. Not much heat here.
