Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Medium body, sweet roasted malts, toffee and caramel and dusty American aroma hops leaving a discreet bitterness. Basically like an Amber Ale. 020210

750ml bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a transparent, amber brown with very little wispy white head. Aroma is... spruce, shocker. Nose is also slightly vegetal. Flavor is sweet, almost candy like, root vegetables, caramel malts. Flavor is a lot better than the nose.

C&C 750 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin head. Aroma is caramel, gummy bear like jellied fruits and spruce. Taste is the same gummy bear notes, mild spruce notes and caramel. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, actually.

Can, that I picked up at Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon consumed 31-12-09 Pours brown with off-white head. Soft in the mouth, a little malt shows and its got a clean but slightly metallic edge to it. Bit thin in flavour department, with hardly any hops noted. A5 A4 F5 P3 Ov11 2.8

650ml bottle from Utobeer, thanks to Tom for buying this with me. Hops hit you as you pour it. Hazy orange gold. Lasting thin white head. Piney resiny aroma. I rather like the aroma. It doesn’t have some of the syrupy malts of some of the double IPAs. Malts are there but are a little understated. It’s decent and solid. Not overwhelming. Not showy or blow your socks off, but decent and has some good balance. Touch of heat on finish. Hops are good, but the rest lacks a little.

12oz bottle. This beer really packs a punch. Thin orange-tan color, highly translucent. Clean pine aroma. Big bitter pine taste backed by a strong a malty ABV and body. Very clean on the palate, not as sticky as many of it’s peers. Big time IPA, but the strength shines through a little too much...there are plenty of 9% beers that are less alcohol centric than this one. Complaints aside, I really like this beer, and would be stoked to try it on tap.

Cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Intensely hoppy aroma of peach and pine. Very sweet with juicy hop flavour, but not enough bitterness to balance
