3.6% non widget 50cl can. pours orange, very large thick offwhite head. aroma was cellarty and on the sweetish side. old perhaps? flavor is sort of easy drinking, slightly sweet to begin , ends tastefully bitter and slightly smoked. best before apr 2009, but tasted and smelled old.

Tin with a widget. Poured deep orange with a thick creamy head. (Ja, this was designed to look good.) Faint malt aroma. Not unpleasant, but not from a good bitter either. Bland flavour, a little malt a little hop, no depth. Not unpleasant, but not enough to be good. Weak finish. Rather a weak showing.

Refreshing and smooth like hell, sweet flavor, nice mouthfeel. If you like this "kind" of beer, it is really great.

Smooth/easy drinking. Light aroma and flavors consisting of caramel malts, herbal hops, and bread. Not exciting or all that tasteful, but I could probably drink a few more.

[Smoothflow version on Nitrokeg at Mash and Barrel Bar, Haven’s Caister-on-Sea Holiday Centre] 2nd attempt at drinking this after my 20-month old daughter levelled my first pint, fortunately missing my dinner with it! A dead brown colour with large, creamy, lasting nitro head. More flavour than some nitro bitters - a little dusty hop bitterness well balanced against a little honey sweetness. However, over-riding impression was as weak, watery and unsatisfying as I’d expected.

[Unicorn Inn, Dolgellau] Deep reddish brown - seems pale compared to the brown-black of your usual mild. Not much flavour to be had here - a fleeting glimpse of chcolate and that was about it. Very smooth and easy to drink, but not a beer Iโ€™ll be coming back to.

Smoothflow can. Lightly roasted caramel aroma accompanied by floral hop. Amber color with a ferocious nitro head. Really creamy head. Near medium body with very mild nitrogenation. The flavor is slightly metallic; then caramel with balancing floral hop bitter. The finish is still slightly metallic, but itโ€™s a soothing malt and hop reminder of Jolly Old.

Tetleyโ€™s Original - 500ml can. AMber gold colour, slightly murky; thin white head; toasted malt aroma; caramel malt flavours, with some hops to balance. Not bad for a macro canned bitter.

Cask at the Swan Hotel, Hythe, Kent Amber with a soapy looking off-white head; aroma of stewed rhubarb; sharp citric bitterness and some caramel, rather thin; a quinine bitter finish. Not unpleasant.
