Borefts XI. Day 2. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous. Semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Big fruity bourbon, slightly woody and slightly bitter. Dark malt cream and dry dark chocolate coming through on the semi dry finish. Spicy linger. Tasty!

Bottle @Ulforg. Oily, very dark brown, no head. Heavy malty aroma, figs and alc. Bittersweet flavour, heavy malty with dried fruit. Boozy finish.

ABV: 16.0%. Clear dark brown colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, caramel, sweet malt, dark fruit, candy, alcohol - vodka. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, dark fruit, raisin, bread, alcohol - vodka. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20220107]

Swing top bottle @ fonefan tasting. Small head with short duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are rich malt, dried fruits, wood, hops and has a nice warming finish.

Blik gedeeld door TomvV. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige en hoppige geur. De smaak is vol, moutig, fruitige mango en hop.

Can. Aroma: Malty, candy sugar, dark fruit. Taste: Dark malt, some roasted malt, notes of candy sugar, light hints of dark fruit. Laurel. Tasting more like an British Strong Ale than a Quad. Bit sticky. Over medium body, just below average carbonation. Lacking the fruity part in my opinion. Overall not a bad beer, but not what I expected. And a bit on the sweet side for me.

Bottle from advent calender. Very dark brown with creamy brown head. Chocolate, lots of PX, dry leaves, marzipan, dried figs, a bit earthy notes, raisins. Solid sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied, slick feel. Nice!
