Tap at AB. Looks the part, cloudy golden, but otherwise not really to style. Nice fruity hops, good hop flavor, very malty in a crackery way and maybe biscuits too and a bit chalky, which took away from the overall pleasantness of the beer.

very white color. Very interesting nose of muscat and white grapefruit in the nose and nothing like a NE IPA. Very interesting, tons of white grapefruit and muscut. Very juicy, Moderately sweet, but balanced with modest acidity. Not like a ne IPA but very interesting, If they didn't add fruit.

Tap @ CBM Toranomon, New England vs West Coast event. Pours nice hazy yellow, light golden. Nose is fruity, some sweet pineapple, also marshmellows. Light grainy background. Taste has nice coating of grassy fruity hop bitterness. Smoothie-like sweet grainy body. Really sweet, like candy-sweet infused with some grassy hops. Not sure what to make of it, definitely not what I expected - or what I expect from a style. Not sure I like it. At the end feels better, dry grainy bitterness. Sweetness subdued a bit (but still pretty sweet). Weird.

Draught at the Ichinoseki Beer Fest 2017. Pale gold, hazy, with a low, fine head. Fruity, lightly funky nose, spicy yeast, lemony. soft, smooth, fruity and refreshing. Wheaty base malts.

Pint at Len. Pours a clear Amber color with a large white head. A soft malty caramel nose. The flavor is sweet caramel, perfume, toast. Smooth.

Tap at Tadg’s. Nice orange color with a good centimeter of foam. The aroma is herbal citrusy hops. Medium bodied, the taste is a tad syrupy sweet with raisins, plums and earthy grapefruit. Pretty good.

Keg at Len - Kyoto. Pours clear copper with a creamy topping. The nose has some lightly toasted pale malts, earth and leaves, citrus peel and pine. Light sweet flavour with moderate grassy bitterness, crunchy lightly toasted grains, bread, dried pine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further grassy hitterness, more pine, toasty malts. Enjoyable, if a bit old school.

From tap (half pint) at Lodi, Higashi-Nakano. Black color. Dense off white to beige head. Aroma’s: roasted malts, mocha, berries. Retronasal it’s red fruit, roasted, coffee/mocha. Flavor is over moderate sweet, roasted, berries. Medium bodied. Finish is roasty, sweetish, light bitter. Maybe a tad bit too sweet, but I liked it.
