Tap at KBL Garage. Pitch black with a tan head. Big coffee nose, some chocolate, vegetal notes. Soft and silky body, sour, green, vegetal coffee is not really for me, and it really rules this beer.

Tap at Komachi. Amber to brown color. Grassy hops, rich malt, caramel and toast in the nose. Rich, nutty, toasty caramel malt flavor with some light, herbal hops. Quite authentic tasting.

orange, cherries, sherries. Semi sweet, boozy, sherry. But dries quickly. Very dry finish. But palate isn’t that great not too complex but not bad. Ok

Two Rabbits x Hansharo Burton Ale 6.5% A ruddy reddish brown with a peppery stone fruit, tobacco and molasses aroma. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeelnd raspy carbonation. The taste is caramel, biscuit and, figs. Malt forward and easy drinking. Really good stuff.

Two Rabbits Yuki-Onna Hazy IPA feat. Idaho 7, Galaxy, Citra and Simcoe Hops 6.5% Hazy orange gold with dense off-white foam that lasts for ages. Juicy aroma that melds citrus and tropical notes. Medium to full bodied with prickly carbonation. The taste is juicy orange, guava and tiny hints of coconut but lots of green hop burn. Pretty good but I preferred the cyclops yokai beer.

Two Rabbits Hitotsume-Kozo West Coast IPA 6.5% This seems to be part of a two beer Yokai series of IPAs. It poured a nice mellow gold with dense white foam which lingered and left loads of lacing. It’s got a sweet citrus and pine aroma. It’s medium to full bodied and smooth with a balanced fruit forward classic west coast IPA flavor profile bit tasting super fresh and on point. Great. I wanted to try the Bourbon Scotch Ale on hand pump but it’s weekends only unfortunately.

It’s been AGES since I had a train beer! Two Rabbits Better Together Kurenai IPA Red IPA (?) 6% This fall release looked a muddy honey brown with glorious thick & fluffy beige foam which had a citrusy pine and biscuit aroma. Medium to light bodied and fairly smooth. The taste is pine, candied orange peel, tobacco and brown sugar bread. Tasty and satisfying post-work brew.

Rainy day so yeah a sakura clad Oatmeal stout will fit the bill. Two Rabbits Oatmeal Stout 5% Cola brown pour with decent beige foam which leaves a wispy layer behind. The aroma is savory roasty sweet chocolate. Medium to full in body which has a syrupy smooth mouthfeel. Nice roasty chocolate flavor.

Two Rabbits Yuzu Sansho White IPA 6% Atte gold with fluffy white foam that lasts for ages. Big white pepper wheat notes and also earthy Sansho pepper. Medium bodied with chewy wheat. The taste gives you well balanced yuzu with Sansho and also delivers the wheat do it hits all the right notes.

Two Rabbits’ 2024 Valentine’s release: Imperial Milk Chocolate Stout 9% About 750¥ from Isetan. Pitch black pour with fairly dense long lasting beige foam and a soft chocolate aroma that evokes a chocolate bar for sure. Full bodied and lusciously smooth, the taste adds dark chocolate and some roast notes to the straight chocolate aroma. This is really tasty and definitely a good option if looking for a Valentine brew.
