Country tick #135, thnx to Erzengel! Best before unknown but atleast 6 years old. Dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is hazelnut, praline, chocolate, roasted, malt and a bit musty. Taste is the same, herbal, light tart, bitter, at the end bit musty. Considering its age not bad.

Aged sample Dark greige head, irregular, towering over black beer. Chocolate, cacao, lactic, liquorice, chocolate-covered fruit. Very dry onset, with some lightly sourish finish. There seems to be a lot of restsugars, without being really sweet. Chocolate, bitter/black, keeps lingering. Medium bodied, medium carbonated, long-lasting flavours. Not bad! Thanks to Stef!

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Dark black pour with cola brown edges. Light and not too biscuits. Thin light tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma is coffee and chocolate and a bit of earthy metallic-ness. Not much alcohol despite being 13%. Taste is similar. Sort of a straightforward stout that doesn’t seem as huge as the label would make you think. Coffee and dark chocolate, some warmth, some metallic flavor again. Not bad but wouldn’t get again.

Beers of the World country 125: Hong Kong 🇭🇰

"The beer is hazy with a big creamy head. If both smells and tastes hoppy with both fruity and floral inputs. Has a citrusy note with a bitter finish. A very nice first beer from Hong Kong." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

330ml bottle from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a big frothy, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, toasty, caramel, liqourice. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a fresh, smooth, roasty, light red berry fruit palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Somewhat “fizzy” for a Porter.
