Aromas of pine resin, peach and spearmint give way to a strong taste of pine and grapefruit with some softer stone fruits and even a bit of cherry. There's a strange combo of bitterness and softness in the finish. Quite enjoyable.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, straw, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

I'm drinking this the day after the watermelon smash and I reckon the guava is a better match for a gose than the watermelon. It's a really smooth finish, and quite refreshing. However the guava is very mooted in comparison to the watermelon, but that does at least give the salt and funky yeast flavours a chance to shine. The palate is also a lot thicker than the watermelon, and it lingers deep into the throat. As I said with the watermelon beer, it's not very sour, so lovers of sours won't be into it. It's more of a very pleasant, slightly sour Summer ale.

(On tap) Hazy amber with small white head. Lovely citrus aroma. Light body, good carbonation. Nice hoppy bitterness over good biscuit male. Nice beer.

Can. Black with an inch of loose tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, molasses licorice. Smooth texture, just medium bodied. Very drinkable. Lots of chocolate but doesn't get too sweet. Roast, lightly licorice, slight earth, finish is slightly spicy and gently bitter. Good.

Tap. Black with a lasting tan head. Mocha and caramel syrup aroma with some heavier roast lurking behind. Lacks a bit of body but is very smooth Roastier taste than suggested by the aroma with dark chocolate and toffee, then strongish licorice tinged bitterness. Tasty enough but lacked presence.

Hand pump at 12C. Amber with a beige head. A: Breadcrust some chocolate, light spices. Light but just enough body - I guess Mild is usually a bit watery. But it's pretty much flat - surely they know better. Quite sweet with loads of caramel but dries out a little. Light spicy bitterness. A cardamon note I wasn’t convinced of.
