Can. Black w a fat coat of tan head. Fudgy aroma with rumbling roast, spicy oak, some overt booze. Bread, mocha, roast, more subdued whiskey than guessed, moderate oaky finish with just hints of bitterness. Nice, maybe slightly less assertive than previously, but it's hard to battle one's own expectations.

Cask. Made for an event I missed over the weekend with Ron Pattinson, so perhaps not surprisingly lost a bit of condition. Still, gold with a small white head. Fruity aroma - apples, quince, pear - with bread, light citrus and spice. Full bodied with autumnal fruit being overtaken by bitter oranges. Feels heavier than it is.

Tap. Gold, modest white head. Aroma of apricot, stollen, gentle spices.
Medium bodied. Fruity with rich bread/ cake notes before q punchy spicy bitterness that is presumably part yeast and part hop. Quite Belgian Strong Ale-like. Interesting, good.

Tap. Pale amber with a dense white head that lasts well. Biscuity aroma with marmalade and hints of spices. Not all that sweet with a nice balance of biscuit and citrus. Needed more bitterness at the end though.
