As Electrolyte Serum. Can, 4% ABV. Cloudy straw-coloured with a creamy white head. Wheaty, briny, mildly funky and earthy covers the aroma - it’s clear enough there’s rhubarb in there if you know, but I don’t know whether I’d have picked it otherwise. Light bodied, slightly slippery. Tartish - just a funky wheaty twang really - but there’s a kefir like feel that makes it for me. gentle rhubarb, almost no bitterness, moderately salty finish. Refreshing.

Can. Almost clean pale gold with a good inch of white head. Fine bead. Aroma really a tonic-like wit, with juniper, citrus peel and bark. Soft texture, medium carbonation. Sweet and plain apart from the spices, with no wheaty tang or tonic-like bite. The woody spices come through at the moderately bitter finish though. Pleasant enough, a bit of a let down after the aroma.

Australia Day Beer #6. 375ml can into shaker. Aroma of cardboard and dough BUT with whiffs of fruit hidden behind. Cloudy yellow with the odd bubble and no head. Spritzy and clean straight up. Finish is quinine bitter, yep it’s tonic water. Not bad but Pike’s Tonic Ale did the same thing better.
