Bottle, from ages ago. Just found some old notes. Labelled as Kamakura Moon. Aroma is slightly cheesy in a nice way. Light roast. Taste is a bit weird, quite thin, malty, earthy, nutty but oily, not quite right for me. Not sure what's going on here.

Bottle. Much better than the last one. Dark and malty, chocolate, ovaltine, quite sweet, cocoa powder, little touch of spice, but more fruity than spicy. Chocolate maltiness dominates though. Feels maybe a bit more like a sweet roasty stout. Nice.

Bottle from shop in Kamakura. Aroma is malty, bit weird, vegetal maybe, doughnuts and grassy hops. Quite a mix! Taste is sweet and malty, light hoppy bitterness, but sweetness is dominant. Not wild about it, but not horrible but any means.

Bottle. Aroma is biscuit malty, little bit of citrus hops. Taste has the similar light citrus thing, but is pretty sweet too. Feels pretty heavy which I wasn't really expecting given it's a kolsch. Something a bit alcoholic about it. Not really for me I guess.

Bottle. Aroma is spicy, malty, toffee, lightly fruity. Taste is similar with a spiky finish. Quite sweet. Maybe not exactly my favourite style, but it's nice enough.

330ml bottle from Garden, Jiyugaoka. Golden lightly cloudy pour, little bit of white foam. Fresh nose, grassy and a bit biscuity. Tastes citrusy, light and sone malty bitterness in the finish. Simple one again, not bad but nothing especially good about it either

330ml bottle from Garden, Jiyugaoka. Pours darker golden, sone off white foam on top. Relatively clear one. Nose is quite nondescript, just some bready crackers, lightly fruity. Tastes bready, malty and some bitterness coming out closer to the finish. Simple brew.

Bottle at a roadside restaurant in Kanagawa, Japan. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, caramel, spice aroma. Tastes vaguely fruity, caramel, some spice.

Bottle from Tokyu store, next to Kamakura station. Pours creamy golden, little on the darker side. White bubbly foam. Nose has grain, wet cardboard, some malty fruitiness. Tastes lightly bitter, relatively creamy, some biscuits, medium body. Bitterness is quite crisp, not completely balanced but drinks OK. Simple and decent beer, was good with some food.

Bottle, walking around in Kamakura. Drinking from the bottle, so cannot really see the colour, just assuming its brown and everything else is fine with that. Aroma is toasted and nutty, quite malt forward with very little fruitiness. Taste is actually better than I thought, quenches my thirst in this hot Japanese summer. Some toffee, toast and brown milk chocolate. Hint of some roast. Overall, relatively nice one, although just a simple altbier. Maybe would have thought differently if I had it from a glass but right now its is satisfying.
