Pour at State of Origin. Pours a clearish gold with a small head. Light grapefruit and iyokan aromas with some grainy malt. Grainy texture with lemon and some mild white grapefruit notes. Lingering salt and lime on the finish. Not bad, but didn't really stand out either. --- Beer merged from original tick of Margarita Gose on 12 Jun 2018 at 23:31 - Score: 6

Nice clear golden coloured body with a small-ish one to two centimetre tall head, with a touch of a hazy glow, still golden. Aroma of very grassy and incredibly herbal hop notes along with a very subdued and fragrant malt note and a touch of citrus fruits near the end, but fairly hop-centric, here. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and a touch perfumey hop character at first with a good balance of malt and a touch of grain and apricots and more sweet fruits, but finish with the light but very noticeable hop bitterness with the grassy and perfumey hops the strongest. Aftertaste shows a nice and light flavour with a good dose of citrus and light pine with a touch of grass near the end as well. Overall, a well-balanced and quite pungent IPA throughout with a good hop profile that has a wide range, but also some grassy notes and a solid malt backbone throughout with nothing amazing to stand on, but a good beer for sure. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Good Bottle Company in Charlotte, North Carolina on 09-May-2018 for US$2,00 sampled in my hotel room here in Atlanta, Georgia on 26-May-2018 after leaving this morning from Charlotte.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/29/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.4%. Overall this is a delicious American pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Nicely vibrant/dank hops; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Still tasted great, considering the age of the can.

12 fl oz can. Very pale gold colour, short-lived white foam head and cinnamon aroma. Taste is apple pie, cinnamon spice, slight hint of plum, and some vanilla. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, finish has light lingering spice. Quite drinkable.

Pour is a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is a sweet caramel malt and some citrus peel. Flavor is more of a dry bready malt with some green apple hop. Not much is left on the tongue after the swallow. Fairly average beer that ended up not being as sweet as I thought it was going to be.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Lots of coffee espresso in the nose, roasted malt and cacao nib aromas. Lots of espresso on the palate with some milk chocolate character. Fairly dry and roasty. Bitter, roasty finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of C.R.E.A.M. Pint can stamped best by 2/28/18 > stange A: Poured hard to 1/2" of thick white head atop clear pale gold body. Good retention from very active big bubbles. S: Light scent of peach and tart citrus. T: Brash hops bitterness with loads of pithy and zesty citrus notes. Tart fruit, oats and grains then join and linger in the aftertaste. M: Medium light and crisp bodied with subtle oats providing a grainy but not quite velvety smooth texture. Bitter but clean finish. O: Pretty good overall. Widely available and well priced makes it well worth a try.
