Description
We were born in 2015 to brew the beers we wanted to drink, and we always kept focused on quality. We settled our brewery in Lisbon’s Graça neighbourhood and from there we started our mission to change beer consumption in Portugal.

We believe we’ve been achieving it daily and we’ll keep doing it. We brewed a dozen of new beers, reached the entire country, managed to export abroad, and opened our own places in Lisbon.

The best part is that we are aware this is just the beginning.

AROMA: medium vegetal aroma with a faint plastic note. low yeast and slight citrus presence (lemony) APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear. Excessive off-white head with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low coffee-like presence that evolves into a medium-low cereal husk character. soft neutral malt backgrond with a slight sweetness. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium-high to high carbonation. slight astringtency. OVERALL: an odd combination with some execution flaws.

AROMA: medium raspberry aroma with a soft malty background (doughy-like). medium-low clean lactic sourness. APPEARANCE: light amber to slight reddish-amber color. medium-low light pink head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium-low raspberry aroma, followed by a doughy malt background. medium bitterness with a dry finish with slight raspeberry hints. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an ok fruuit sour.

APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. medium light brown head, creamy, with average retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a medium-high coffee flavor. faint roasted barley background. unbalanced. medium bitterness with a dry finish and coffee. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a stout with too much added coffee that could be any kind of base dark beer.

AROMA: medium herbaceous hop note. medium-low roasted malt aroma with black coffee and cocoa. low background of dried plums and perfumy alcohol. APPEARANCE: jet black and opaque. medium-low brown creamy head with average retention. lace/leg formation. TASTE: initial low dried fruit note (dried plum), followed by medium-low herbaceous hops and medium-high roasted malt with a dark/unsweetened coffee-like character. medium-high to high bitterness with a roasty/burnt finish. PALATE: medium-high body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an imperial stout with a very present hop aroma that can be confused with a black IPA.

AROMA: medium wheaty aromatics with a blend of some clove phenolics and some low coriander and fruity esters (orange-like) not zesty. APPEARANCE: straw color and hazy. medium-large white head, creamy, with average retention. some large particulates in suspension. TASTE: initial medium-low wheat flavor combined with yeast (uncooked bread). slight low lemony background. medium-high bitterness with a bit harsh character. finishes dry and bitter. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium-high carbonation. slight harsh bitterness and astringency. OVERALL: a witbier that smells better than it tastes and with a bit distracting harshness.

AROMA: medium-low hop aroma with some pine notes. medium to medium-high malty background with a toffee character and medium-low alcohol. medium-low fruity esters resembling honeydew melon. APPEARANCE: orang-ish amber color and just slightly hazy. medium ivory head, creamy, with good retention. leg formation. TASTE: initial medium-high malty presence with a toffee character, followed by medium hop flavor (pine). slight estery fruit notes (ripe oranges). initially sweet which is balanced by an high bitterness. finishes semi-dry and bitter. PALATE: medium-high body with a velvety texture. medium to medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a triple (!) IPA with is a consequence of its own name, more tilted towards malt.

330mml. bottle. @Armazém da Cerveja, Porto (Portugal). 11/03/2020. [#3.321 Global - #168 Portugal - #9 Oitava Colina] Pours black with a medium creamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma is chocolate, wood, ashes and licorice. Taste is strong dark chocolate, wood and intense cocoa beans. Slightly vanilla aftertaste. Next one please!

Draught, half pint. @Letraria Craft Beer Garden, Porto (Portugal). 11/03/2020. [#3.316 Global - #163 Portugal - #8 Oitava Colina] First thing, I think that this beer should be Musa / Oitava Colina, but I´m not sure...so here we go. Cloudy orange colour with a small white head. Medium retention. Aroma is grapefruit, orange zest, piney hops and soft tropical. Taste is slightly tropical and juicy leading to a citrusy finish. Next one please!

33cl bottle. A hazy amber beer with a mid sized good lasting white head. Aroma of grapefruit, bitter orange fruits, zest, pine juice. Taste of bitter orange fruits, grapefruit, blood orange, zest, pine, long bitter finish with a touch of sweetness.
