12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. No bottle date, picked this up about 3 months ago. Black with half a finger of light tan head, some sediment towards the bottom. Aromas of roasty notes, dark chocolate, dark fruit, a little vanilla. Tastes of roasty notes, dark and milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, dark fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Quite sweet.

Sampled on draft at Sharp Edge Beer Emporium this cider poured a very pale yellow color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was sweet apple flesh followed by a hint of medicine and a vague herbal note. The flavor was tart and semi sweet with perfume, medicine and a bit of apple flesh. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle pour into shaker glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Aroma is pineapple/tropical fruits, mild resin and pine, whiff of sweaty feet. Appearance is hazy golden yellow with attractive sparkle, two-finger width fluffy off-white head with good retention and fair foamy lacing. Taste is sweet fruit mixed with bitter resin. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with average texture and carbonation, dry moderately bitter finish. Overall, not terribly complex but fairly sessionable. Could be more flavorful.

Slight haze, bubbly head, light amber. Fruity hop, quite berryish. Has a soft body and a lot of fruitiness. Touch watery. Sweet malts. Ok, maybe not my pocket.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Prost, North Hampton, NH. Deep black color, weak head retention. Aroma is mild chocolate, mild vanilla and a metallic hint.
The flavor has a chocolate base/ backbone with hints of chocolate in the finish. The body is about right for the style. The thing that ruins this brew is the metallic/ sour hint in the finish. Maybe a touch unclean. It’s drinkable but rides the line of a drain pour.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Prost. I thought it was very odd to find a Pennsylvania brewery that I never heard of in a bottle show in New England. No bottle date was found so age is totally unknown. Hazy golden color with lasting head and retention. Aroma is bitter grapefruit and orange marmalade.
Flavor show weak floral and weak grapefruit hops. Orange marmalade in the center. Body is medium with a soapy mouthfeel. Bitterness is moderate to strong. But kind of bitter just for the sake of being bitter. Dry texture. It’s not a bad IPA but the age is suspect.

Tap bowsers. A fresh beery smell with a little volatile hint for the nose. Creamy head. Yes, a very clean tasting beer compared to many saisons. It does have a little bandaid in there bit overall its very civilized. Not overwhelming to the senses. A well made saison I’d say. Good co2 level as well. Some hints of lemon in there. Clean fresh saison fun fer sher. Not bad.

Bocktown. Pale lemon yellow. Smell is mild sweet apples. Fruity cider with an odd hint of ginger, unlike many ginger beers I’ve had. No burn or warming sensations. Not bad but that odd spice is a little bit of a distraction.
