Super hazy copper and muddied bronze coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall tan head that looks a little bit velvety. Aroma of corn flakes, cereal, grain, rice, malted barley, a touch of lactose ane cream, but seemingly no hops - odd! Medium-bodied; Rich cereal flavours show at first and leaves some pungency and bitterness and a touch of sweetness is here from the lactose, but ending with the deep pungency, grain and maltiness noticeable here. Aftertaste shows the deep funky malts along with the first dose of hops here with a slight floral bitterness, a little bit of alpha acids here and a subdued sweetness hits at the end and provides a bit of complexity and balance. Overall, a decent enough beer, but not really a New England IPA at all - it's an unfiltered APA or even an unfiltered Light IPA and not very nice at that either. I understand why this was 50 per cent off and if I didn't get that good deal I might have been upset, but good enough to try from North Carolina with that deal! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Cary (Crossroads Boulevard), North Carolina on 30-May-2021 for US$6,00/four pack, canned on 20-October-202 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-July-2021.

16oz can from Tavour. This worked - generally Berliners are ideal in the 5% range, but it was definitely EZ drinking - tropical and salty. Nice!

16oz can from Tavour. Amber pour with a thin off-white foamy head. Malty aroma, toasty, woody. Taste brings more rich malts, mildly sweet, faint bitterness with a touch of dryness.

Week old pint can A: Poured pretty clear rich gold with a thick puck of white froth that held up well. S: Weak scent of flowers, lemon-lime citrus and herbs. T: Pithy and fairly bitter with lemon upfront. Very fresh lemon flavors including a tart finish combine with light toast. M: Light, clean and well carbonated. High refreshment value. O: Lack of aroma shook me but the bright flavors redeemed it. Another great pale from Wise Man.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear, slightly ruddy, copper with a large creamy beige head that foamed away. Aroma is that toffee/caramel/amber thing with some floral hop. Med body. Flavor like the aroma with some roasty notes. Dry enough. More bitter than many IRAs. In terms of the universe it serves in the category Marzens serve.

7 week old pint can A: Very Hazy pinkish orange color. Sort of half gasoline, half grapefruit juice. Tall, fiercely retentive fluffy white head. S: Whole fruit stand. Apple, peach, berries and melon. Slightly sweet wafers underneath. T: It's about to be sweet when suddenly grapefruit pith hits hard and lingers. Tart juice is noticed and lasts into the finish with dry wheat crackers. A little sweet, moderately bitter, tart and dry. M: Light and spritzy with a dry, powdery feel. O: Interestingly balanced, very refreshing and tasty. Very good!

Nog een beetje te scherp. Benieuwd naar de non-BA-versie en eventueel andere vaten.
