Description
In August 2016 the renowned ice cider producing company "La Face Cachée de la Pomme" under ownership of Mr. François Pouliot joined forces with Pomdial Inc. to form CidreCo. with a mission to grow and expand (by also obtaining the business of colleague ice cidery Domaine Pinnacle). But during the developing processes the partners disagreed over multiple issues and CidreCo. fell apart.

In this stage the new partner Pomdial took legal action and seized the assets of CidreCo. under which were multiple trademarks such as 'Neige' and 'Domaine Pinnacle'.

Mr. Pouliot found new backing and made an offer to obtain the assets, but Pomdial also forwarded an offer and a judge favoured the offer by Pomdial Inc.

60.000 liters of juice, and a truckload of assets associated with the trademarks that are now owned by Pomdial Inc. were seized from Domain Neige.
Fortunately, the estate itself, the orchard and the buildings are not part of the transaction.

'Neige Cidre de Glace' has been produced by Mr. Pouliot & co. at Domeine Neige in Hemmingford since 1994 but the name he built is now a brand that belongs to a couple of businessmen who, at the time of obtaining these 'assets' didn't even have permits to make or sell cider.

Mr. Pouliot will continue to produce ice cider like he has been doing since 1994 under the name Verger Hemmingford.

This is insanely good. Loads of apple flavor. Sweet, tart, balanced, legs for days. Wow, what a treat. Happy 50th Brian.

Bottle shared thanks to Alexander. Clear light amber. Massive sweet caramelised apple, tart apple, sift cinnamon, a hint of brandy, vanilla, leathery. Quite sweet, lighter sour, very light bitter. Full bodied. Great!

Sampled at the first Belgian Brewver Gathering. Pours clear, pale light yellow, medium sized and surprisingly stabel white head. Smell is full, powerfull appleskins, funk, juicy. Taste is full, medium high carbo, tad sweet, appleskins. Easy drinkable. Nice intensity !

Sample @ 1st edition Brewver Belgian gathering, Mar 07, 2020. Thanks Dylan.
Dorée-crystal, col fin blanc s'estompant vite.

Taste: bit sweet, lots of apple juice, pretty dry, soft acidity, apple skins, bit of tannins, lovely stuff. Aftertaste: little sourish, lots of apples, dry, soft bitterness, little soapy.

Taster. Pours clear deep amber. Aroma is clean pure apple, liquor like, ethanolic, pepper. Body is heavy and strong, pommeau, brandy, walnuts, super alcoholic. Flat, acidic, tart. Rich and complex, also extreme. Wow.

Old rating from a few years ago. Obtained in a trade with tom10101. Thanks! 2009 vintage. Very, very beautiful looking 500 ml. bottle @ home. 15 cl. pour. Freshly opened bottle. Bottle says that it can be kept for 9 months after opening. This one pours quite dark, copper apple juice, darker orange copper, oily rim sticks to the glass on top. Smells of Sirop de Liège, very thick and concentrated apple syrup on top, warming, some Eau-de-vie, wood tannins, vanilla, very clean, high quality alcohol, camomile, lemon essential oil, quite oily, very thick. Taste is quite reminiscent of Sirop de Liège, warming, lingering alcohol, wine tannins, thick caramelized sugar, syrupy thick apple juice, thick maple, touch agave, honey, lemon essential oil, lemon peel, esotheric oils, warming Eau-de-vie, wine tannins, wood vanilla, thick decandent. Very oily and sticky feel to it, slightly watery as well, strangely enough. Tried it woth chilled & room temperature and preferred it greatly at room temperature, this was something else all right. Very unique, rich and decadent. I have a big sweet tooth and I already found 15 cl. to be overkill frankly. Fascinating. ///////////////////// Took another small pour day after opening the bottle. Surprisingly this tasted even better, richer, deeper, more decadend. Even more spirit-like in a good way. Amazing. 4.6 -> 4.7 Newer got another 500 ml. bottle in a trade, made no notes but liked it even more. Sample of a few months opened bottle. Viscous dark amber clear liquid. Nose is all walnut oxidation but amazing caramelized apple, sugar, walnut, candy. Taste is all oxidized alnuts, sugar, cooked apple, syrup, sugar, almost vinous, oxidation hit here quite heavily but it works and it remains incredible. Keeping score.
