Draft @ BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. August, 8, 2015. Nice golden amber color, thin lasting head. Aroma is Saaz grassy goodness with some citrus. Fresh aroma!

Great balance of sweet grain, Saaz hops and a light herbal touch. Mouthfeel is light and crisp, finish is clean. Really great and finely crafted example of the style.

On tap at Proletariat NYC. 16oz pour is a hazy, translucent brown with some lacing white head. Nice malty, nutty nose, toasted bread crust, cocoa nibs, mild coffee, a little toasted almond. Flavor is the mild part, lightly sweet, lightly nutty, whole grain bread, fresh cocoa pods. Clean finish. Lots of flavor and very drinkable.

On tap at Proletariat NYC. 8oz pour is a hazy orange with some very thick, lacing white head. Nose is huge with tropical fruit, mango to the face, papaya, blood orange, soap, perfume, sticky honey comb, grapefruit, candy. Flavor is incredibly balanced, sweet honey, sticky tropical fruit, ripe mango, papaya, pineapple candy, pine, soapy, bright tangerine. Full, sticky finish. Wow, really incredible.

On tap at Meridian Pint in Washington D.C. Pours a translucent mahogany amber, nearly black, with some thin white head. Nose is standard for the style, some dark chocolate, a little toast, but mostly soap and orange rind. Flavor is the same, very soapy, a little astringent, pine, light coffee grounds, burnt toast.
