Tap at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - 26/09/12. Slightly hazy copper brown with a small off-white head. Bourbon on the nose straight off with wood tones and a little lemon. The bourbon is more subtle in the taste, again woody, some malt and ry. Palate is the lighter end of medium bodied with matching carbonation, if anything a little too thin for a 7%+ ABV beer with some complex flavours to it!

Growler. Smoky nutty malt and light coffee aroma. Deep amber with a small off-white head. Nutty, light roast coffee flavor with a light roasty bitter finish. Medium body, light carbonation.

Draft. Chocolate and buckwheat malt aroma. Dark chestnut brown with moderate head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Solid - very good.

Draft. Earthy ginger aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Earthy ginger without heat flavor initially followed by a watermelon finish. Spectacular blending. An extremely unique beer - reminded me of pickled watermelon rinds. Really enjoyed this one.

Draft. Light barley malt aroma. Dark amber with large head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and hay flavor. Body on the light side. Clean and easy drinking. Nicely drinkable - works well.

On tap. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Weird, fruity aroma with a whiff of....smoke (?) Medium body, light caramel notes, vaguely butterish and a harsh bitter finish. Odd, flawed and unrefined. 080912
