[ As Nevel Erve ].Hazy - murky medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, orange, orange peel, zesty, funky notes. Draft at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Cloudy dull golden with no head. Aroma of herbs, tart light fruits, citrus and lactic notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy sour. Bottle shared at Murphy's Law bottle share. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of big peppery saison yeast, floral notes and lemongrass. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Foeders, Ceintuurbaan 257H, Amsterdam, Netherlands 1074CZ. [ As Nevel Teerling ].Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sour, tart, caramel, sweet malt, berries - wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, berry, wood, grapes, vineous. Bottle. Nevel Ven. Bottled 27 apr 2016. Color: Almost black, no head. Taste: Starting lightly sour and red fruit, soon turning into a more stout-like and ardbeg whisky flavor of roasted malt, smoke, peat, leather and bitter hints. Pretty long finish, mix of slightly sour, red fruit, peat and leather. Medium body. Pretty complex and somewhat confusing. A barrel aged beer in between sour/wild ale and stout... Pretty unique. But the brewer succesfully succeeded to mix this styles in my opinion. I quite like it.

Bottle. Color: Very hazy orange brown purple. Dense off white, slightly purple head. Taste: Lightly sour, plums, hints of strawberries. Little bitterness. Medium to just below medium body, average carbonation. Bit frothy mouthfeel.

4 nov 2017: Draft at Störrig Festival in Ede. Saison with annual mugwort. Color: Hazy golden, thin white head. Taste: Fruity, lightly hints of apple. Fresh, some sweetness and also lightly sour. Some bitterness in finish. Medium to below medium body, average carbonation. 21 nov 2019: Draft at Taphuys Utrecht. Back in 2017 I was a relatively starting Nevel beer drinker and I didn't appreciate their beers as much as I do now. Drinking this Alm again I have to update the rating from 6-3-6-3-12 (3.0) to 7-3-7-3-14 (3.4)
