355mL can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is full of apricot and peaches upfront, followed by the matcha, and lacto. Flavour is full of lacto and sour stone fruits. Not really getting the matcha. Light and rather lifeless, with a lacto-y, thin tart fruit character on the finish. Meh.

(355ml can from 4th and 7, Toronto) Pours somewhat hazy pink-blushing orange with a small whiteish head showing good retention and lace. Aroma of floral guava with cherry candy and ripe pineapple flesh, almost sulphurous funk quality which I associate with some overripe guava fruits too, but definitely rather sweet and juicy. Flavour is a little less sweet than the nose, and moderately acidic, with sour cherry powder candy and lactic yogurt up front, more floral creamy guava in the middle, and a finish that's softly lemony with vanilla and pineapple flesh more prominent. Forgotten can so the hops have doubtless faded out leaving the fruit as the star, and it handles that role fine. Light body with average plus carbonation. Complex and balanced, but a little light overall. Still a fun beer juicebox.

(375ml 2019 bottle c/o Herbalist, thanks!) Pours nearly clear deep amber with a small but stable white head and lots of lace. Aroma of red wine, red berries, baked apple and pear, stewed fig, slightly peppery spicebox, notes of oxidized fortified wine for sure, sweet and fruity with clear oak presence and light funk. Flavour is much drier and more tart than the nose would suggest, lactic acidity for the most part, heavy oak structure, more white wine-like up front with white pepper phenolics, but becoming richer, sweeter and more reminiscent of the nose on the finish with notes of nutty fortified wine, baked apple, dark fruit, clove and caramelized sugars into the aftertaste. Light to medium body for ABV, with very full effervescence. Interesting, different than a typical red wine ale with the fortified wine barrel definitely dominating over the grape must. Odd, but cool.

(355ml can shared by Luc, thanks!) Pours slightly hazy red with a small pinkish head. Notes of intense crushed, lightly tart and somewhat sweetened blueberry with an accent of maple, the cereal complexity starts to show itself more with some warmth and gives distinct body and structure, obvious granola type vibes. Vanilla is not extremely prominent and there's just a hint of cinnamon, sweetness carries most of the way through the sip but the finish is somewhat tart with concentrated blueberries in maple. Medium plus bodied, average carbonation. Excellent dessert sour, better than Game, Blouses for me with the higher concentration of flavours.
