Can: Poured a clear ember color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of caramel malt with light citrusy hops notes is OK. Taste is a mix of caramel malt with some hoppy citrusy notes and light ginger notes. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. Not fond of the caramel malt backbone and I though ginger didn’t come out as much as I was expecting.

(can) clear, bright amber colour with a small white head; aroma of stewed fruit; creamy palate; mild flavour with a long light bitter finish; not much of a pilzner, but a decent if forgettable beer

This IPA poured a nice red colour with a smooth, creamy, off white head. Scents include ginger, grassy hops and a little citrus. First swig was surprisingly in-ginger like. Faint ginger flavour with a little smoke and grass hop flavour. Finish was medium bitter with more grass than ginger lingering.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy deep copper with a large off-white head that laces well. Nose is prominently ginger with some lemon and toffee backing. Light sweet toffee leads to the ginger, which is not quite as dominant as in the nose, and a light lemony tartness and very light bitterness. Medium mouth and carbonation with a crisp finish. Ginger is not overpowering and makes this interesting though I’m not sure where the ’IPA’ is.

Pours a clear amber colour with a full warm cap, great retention and some creamy-foam lacing. Ginger nose with some sweet malts (caramel, fruity) and some grain notes. The taste starts off with the red ale flavours and then, the ginger kicks in a bit. A grassy finish leaves bitterness. All of this is very well-blended and interesting. A nice twist on a ginger beer.

Can. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combination of roasted malts and rye notes with a bit of bread backing. Flavor has a good amount of bread and rye notes with a touch of roasted malts underlying.
