A dark brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet burned caramel malt with light grassy hops, woody notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with molasses, chocolate, coffee, grassy hopsqz, nice. On Cask at c’est what beer fest.

Snakebites aren’t my thing, but I had to give this random tap at the Only a shot. What does it look like? Sweaty tea - brown slightly cloudy. Fluffy dense head, about a finger. The cider dominates, but the malt is there, with some bitter hops. The flavours are fighting malt versus dry cider. Mild malt, lots of apple fruit, but drinkable. Some mildly bitter hops in the aftertaste.

Draft - Toasted malts and some light nutty notes. Dark brown with a decent white head. Toasted malts and very little else. Typical of the English style they were perusing, but not very interesting.

Draft - Soured malts and light grape. Cloudy pale yellow with almost no head. Dust light citrus and some grain with only a touch of berry fruit. Finish is dry. Lots of potential, but just not enough fruit or tartness.

Very light palate here. Mild bitterness, even for a bitter. Pours orange with great lacing and good head. Some odd malt aroma - has a bit of a swampy side. Finishes with light note of sourness but really nothing much at all. Watery palate. Tap at Black Tomato.

Good mild full of taste for low alcohol. A nice mouthful of barley here. Pours reddish brown with decent head and lacing. Finishes with crisp malt and light hops - spot on for style. Nice sense of wholegrain cereal here. Tap at Black Tomato.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a deep cola brown with a generous beige head that leaves some lace. Aroma is chocolate and plums and caramel with alhohol in the finish. Medium sweetness with not much trace of bitterness. With a name like 10w30 I was expecting something oily and thick but it turns out to be light and watery with average carbonation.

Some roast malt, some coffee. Looks like root beer without head or lacing, maroon clear colour. Light bitter finish with ok roast beer. Pretty good for style. On cask at C’est What Festival.

This one poured a medium clear yellow colour with a beautiful, creamy, off white head. Scents include fresh bread, over-ripe fruit, vanilla and mild hops. First swig was smooth with a small amount of carbonation but not to the point of being almost flat. Flavours of caramel, butter, raisens and light vanilla are most predominant. Finish is lightly bitter with a thick mouth feel. Light hop and thick malt flavours linger.

This ale poured a beautiful dark amber colour with a big, creamy, tan coloured head. Scents include coffee, caramel, toast and smoke. First sip was nice but a tad thin. Flavours of roasted malts and caramel with a good flavor of caramel on top. Finish is roasted caramel. Delicious!
