This pale ale poured a deep orange colour with a off white, creamy head. Nice lacing. Scents include caramel, honey, must and light hops. First swig was smooth and delicious with flavours of tea, malt and mild hops. Finish is malty and lightly sweet with minimally bitter hops lingering.

Can from the lcbo. Dark. Copper pour, small off white head. Aroma is very very malty, but also quite sweet. Notes of wet paper, caramel, and musty apples. Finish is sweet, caramels, musty grass.... Not very good.

Cask days 2012. Jey black, small brown head. Dry roasted malt aroma, light notes of cocoa. A weird tangy, orangey maltiness, like artifical flavoring in gum. Dry finish, light roast, sweet, tangy woody finish. Weird.

Hand Pump at C’est What?
This was an interesting beer. It was quite sweet, but also very hoppy!
Poured a very deep black with a nice big fluffy mocha head. Aroma was of sweet chocolate, coffee, and sweet molasses and brown sugar, but with also a touch of sweet hops, and some subtle sour citrus. The flavor was quite roasty with that sweet/sourness, I really enjoyed it. It was odd at 1st, but it really grew on me, mind you it was probably my 8th beer that night so maybe my taste bud were out of whack, i’m excited to see what other raters say about it.

typical lager, nothing special, or very interesting. Slightly fruity aroma, some mild hops. Your typical staple beer from an Ontario micro brewery.

on tap at C’est What beer fest. Corny aroma, sweet maltiness in the flavour, not exactly what i was expecting, but i appreciate the effort.

This blonde poured a clear, medium yellow colour with a white, minimal, creamy head. Minimal lacing to boot. Scents include coffee, grass, oatmeal and earth. First swig was smooth and lighter but delicious. Flavours of coffee, malt, a little cocoa and a little must. Finish is slightly sweet, with coffee and malt flavours lingering.
