On tap at Culmination, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of lime leaf upfront, with a touch of lemongrass and generic citrus. Flavour is dry and bright, with lots of lime, lime leaf, and lemongrass. Fun adjunct usage, especially the lime leaf, but it's nothing special.

On tap at Culmination, pours a fairly clear amber golden with a small white head. Aroma is somewhat syrupy, with caramel malt, some restrained resinous hops, but the balance is poor and chaotic. Flavour is harsh and chaotic, with resinous hops, crunchy bready malt, and sweet caramel. There's nothing inherently wrong here; it's just a poorly balanced, chaotic, sweet and yet overly bitter IIPA. Needs total redesign. Poor.

On tap at Culmination, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nice tangy hop character, with light pine, and just enough sweet biscuity malt. Flavour has tangy hops, pine, and traces of diacetyl that ruin this for me. The hop tang and pine are good but the light diacetyl kills this for me.

On tap at Culmination, pours a clear copper gfolden with a small white head. Aroma has toasted grains, rustic saison yeast, and too many esters. Flavour is too estery, with toasted grains, moderate esters, and a touch of fruitiness. Too estery for a saison, which is its downfall. Not terrible but just not working for me.

On tap at Loyal Legion PDX, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has gentle roast, earthy notes, and bone dry cocoa. Flavour is dry, with a sort of Irish stout character — bone dry roast, almost a tangy oyster character — with a bready finish. Nothing special but competently done.

Draft at The Beer Mongers in Portland. Opaque dark brown color dense beige head with good retention. Nice aroma of pine needles on freshly roasted coffee beans. Taste is lightly bitter and resiny dark unsweetened cocoa and espresso grounds with a bitter pine finish. Delicious. Nice to see a Cascadian Dark Ale so close to the Cascades.

355 ml can from Beer Republic advent calendar poured into a Tulip. Slightly hazy golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, tropical impressions, stone fruits, and hoppy notes. The taste is bitter. Medium body. Dry and bitter finish with lingering tropical fruits. Nice.

355ml. can. @home, 03/12/2023 [#6.935 Global - #1.217 United States of America - #1 Culmination Brewing Co. (My Brewery #287 from the States)] Pours clear golden with a lasting off-white head. Aroma: pine, resin, caramel and dough. Taste: orange pith, zest, grapefruit and plenty of caramel malts. Clean and balanced. Medium bitterness. Next one please!

16oz can pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts some coffee dark chocolate and bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the nice chocolate roast malts coffee bourbon barrel.
