Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention with some light lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt notes, some residual candi sugar notes with some citrusy notes. Taste is also a mix of residual candi sugar notes with some citrusy notes and sweet Belgian malt with some coriander and peppery notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable tripe with nice esther and good flavours.

Dark, like Schwarzbier dark. Thin head. Lighttish body, some toastiness. A nice sweetness in there as well, good balance. Just enough bitterness. Solid.

Pale brown, slight haze, thin head. Aroma has some caramel, palate has more toffee, and a decent bitterness. I definitely would have preferred a bit more sweetness - it’s quite dry. Quality but more sugars would boost complexity…or at least make it more to my preference in a dunkel…more like Denisons Dark.

Deep gold. Medium head. Slight haze. Medium bitterness, slightly herbaceous hop, mild malt sweetness, the finish having a touch of astringency…so does the pitch soften that in the pitch version?

Heavy, very cereal forward, boozy. Not as bright and citrucy as la fin du monde. Yeasty, but sweeter, and more melt forward. Lacks the bright, crispness of it's predecessor.

Sweet, heavy and warming with some malts, ripe fruits, estery yeastiness, spicy peppery notes, earthiness and toffee. A bit heavy.
