Crisp, hoppy and herbal with some grass, pine, rustic grainy maltiness and spicy earthiness, long lasting lingering bitterness. Properly bitter Czech pils. Great.

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has notes of booze, some candied stone fruits, and cotton candy. Flavour is also quite boozy, with some cotton candy, candi sugar, and gentle Belgian yeast. Not even remotely like La Fun du Monde. Typical estery, overly sweet tripel—the yeast isn’t used properly.

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has very gentle herbal notes, straw, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is likewise laid-back, with with biscuity malt and gentle herbaceous notes. Needs more hops but it’s clean and drinkable. Fine.

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is rather dull, with earthy hops, straw, and bready malt. Flavour is clean but under-hopped, with straw, and biscuity malt. Clean but lacking character. Why not put more Saaz in this?

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of the stainless steel, some muted Saaz, and crackery malt. Flavour is dry, with metallic notes, some spic Saaz, and crackery malt. I prefer regular Sklepnik—I want more Saaz and less stainless. Still solid.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma has a deep toasted—almost roasted—malt base that’s unusual for a dunkel as such, with some earthiness, and toasted nuttiness. Flavour is more laid-back, with toasted malt, earthiness, and a touch of toasted nuts. Earthy, dry finish. Well-made.

355ml can. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, short lived, beige head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, peat, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, earth, peat and coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with an oily to watery texture and soft carbonation. Could use more body, but still pretty tasty.
