At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, opaque black color, aroma of licorice and ash with some choclate behind, smokey, charred wood ashy aroma, too bitter, heavy and unbalanced. Fair but much too one dimensional.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown-black. Lots of licorice, roast, dark fruits, hops, a bit "green", ash, very bitter. OK.

12oz can at the RateBeer DC tasting. Poured a very dark brown color with a with light tan head. Aroma was bitter, dark chocolate notes, roasted malts. Bitter chocolate.

12oz can at the DC RateBeer tasting. Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light citrus, floral notes. Really juicy hop notes. Juicy. Really nice. Crisp grassy citrus. Nice!
