Draft at SAVOR. Poured a dark brown color with a small light tan head. Aroma was Coffee, chocolate, touch of vanilla. Flavor was a lot more subtle for what I was expecting, there’s chocolate and a touch of coffee and vanilla in there, but it’s very subtle. Mouthfeel a bit thin, but enjoyed it enough - paired well with a s’more.

Fizzy dark brown - sweet lactose nose - abrasive, cola-like carbonation in the mouth - it also doesn’t help that the flavor has certain similarities to cola - sugary sweet - lightly acidic through the middle - a light bit of roast and chocolate on the tail end, but otherwise hard to drink.

The winner of today’s visit- dark amber, nearly black - quite dry, with some strong roast, black malt, woodiness - all of these qualities are complimented well by the earthy, green hop flavor and bitterness that follows - none of the qualities ever get abrasive or over the top - solid black IPA.

Clear dark amber - a boring brew here - approach is bland - an almost flavorless, dull yeastiness - the middle and finish is a muddled mix of light esters, a hint of toffee and nuttiness, a mild vegetal note - little hop flavor to speak of - nothing in the way of characteristic ESB flavors - tastes like a bland and flawed amber ale - meh.

Hazy blonde pour - nose is of moderate pepper and banana phenols, light acidity, an herbal note - firm carbonation - fairly dry in flavor, but the body is a little thin - flavors of tangy wheat, white pepper, light clove - finish is a tad spicy, with a subtle warmth - decent.

Pour is light purple, with a light pink head - approach is moderately acidic and earthy, with the bitter notes of the raspberry coming forward first - lightly sweet raspberry through the middle, along with a subtle note of tangy wheat - finish is once again earthy and lightly acidic, with linger fruit seed bitterness - one-dimensional, but somewhat enjoyable for what it is - I’ll bet the hipster chicks that frequent this place love it.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, bread, metal, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and bread, leading to a dry finish.

Apparently they were not happy with the Summit Sunrise recipe, so they decided to change it - this is fairly similar, but a bit mor balanced - slightly lighter malt body, but with a similar toffee backbone - this has a more Biscuity finish, which compliments that spiciness of the hops fairly well - I also do not get the garlic notes I got in the sunrise - a nice hoppy red.

Hazy copper - very light bodied and semi-tart, with slight white wine notes - flavors of melon, vanilla and raw oak/woodiness - white grape and moderate acidity - oak is fairly overdone, as the dry finish tastes like straight up sucking on wood - lingering acidity - consistency, this brewer needs it.

Why do so many of their pale ales taste like dirt and peanut skins? - thankfully, this is only to a minor extent and their are some bright citric hop notes to make things a little better - light pale malty sweetness in the finish - another meh.
