Description
Denver Beer Co. was born in our garages with a few batches of home brew and a love for the craft of brewing. Serving only premium artisan ales and lagers, we utilize fresh ingredients and embrace both innovative and old world styles of beer. Similar to a farmer’s table, our beer selections change with the seasons. By brewing in small batches, we can ensure that a few old favorites are always on tap, but new goodies greet visitors each month.

Our brewery is founded on passion for high quality, flavorfully crafted beer and the belief that the best pints are those shared with good company. Drawing inspiration from beer gardens of Bavaria, we designed Denver Beer Co. to be a place where new and old friends can share a table and pint out of doors.

Hazy gold - flavor is fairly sweet, moderately yeasty, with lightly spicy and grassy hops, a bit of bready, toasty character - hops get a little floral/soapy In the finish and it is a bit too sweet for me, but still relatively drinkable/enjoyable.

Tap @ Denver Beer Co. Black appearance with a brown head that has good retention. Very roasty, chocolate malty, rich espresso, a touch charred aroma. Creamy, a touch fruity, roasty chocolate malty, lightly burnt flavor. I didn’t care for the fruit notes.

Tap @ Denver Beer Co. Somewhat hazy, golden orange appearance with a white head. Fairly potent fruity aroma with notes of apricots and peaches along with a spicy, organic element. Huge peachy, passionfruit, somewhat spicy yeasty, acidic, tart flavor. Probably would be nice on a hot summer day but the fruitiness is a little extreme.

Tap @ Denver Beer Co. I really haven’t had good luck with weizenbier here, so hopefully this bucks the trend. Bright, hazy, golden orange appearance with a white head. Banana pudding, light lemon citrusy, more banana pudding aroma. A little bitter, huge banana fruity flavor with a little bit of spiciness on the finish. It’s not that this is a bad beer per se, but the fruity elements are so over the top.

Tap at Denver beer - NOT nitro - Seems like a combination dry stout and sweet stout - starts with the light brine and mineral of a dry stout, but finishes with the milk sugar sweetness and silky mouthfeel and a sweet stout - some light notes of chocolate and light black malt bitterness - a fairly good stout, if not one that conforms to any one style guideline.

This beer was designed as a showcase of summit hops and in that it does a good job - a sturdy malt base provides some caramel and toffee flavors to keep the strong peppery notes of the hop in check - because the summit profile is so strong, though, it does also have a slight garlic note which is slightly off-putting - the malt sweetness does a good job of hiding this, though - finish is spicy and slightly minty - not bad, you just need to be a fan of summit hops.

Compared to some of their other hefes, this one isn’t quite as bad, but still seems geared towards those that do not actually like hefes, but instead simple want a light wheat beer - full and yeasty, but with a lot bready and grainy notes - lint notes of banana, but none of the other complex phenols you would expect - a bit of lemony tang on the tail end - nothing wrong with it, just boring and more like a straight up wheat beer.
