Bottle. Pint glass. Out of place seasonal. MGD gold pour. Smells of booze, sugarplums & apple Christmas Febreze. Syrupy & more then half flat. Obvious tart apple & butterscotch thing going on. Garbage juice. Wood esters. Too sweet. Drainpour.

Sampled on draft this cider poured a dark pink color with a small white head that left no lacing. The aroma was cherry blossom, perfume and a vague herbal note. The flavor was astringent with cherry blossom and perfume. Long finish. Medium body.

Bought this bottle because I wanted a ticker, not really fond of strawberries in beer. Looks like a darker yellow beer. Head but no real stand out aroma. Taste is quite sweet, alarmingly and then thankfully a little tartness sets in. Yes the mild tartness sets off the almost cloying sweetness, just barely. Lets try another swig..... Now a little metal comes thru on the nose. Taste is not quite artificial strawberry but there certainly is some unfermented sugar things going on here. In the middle that sweet thing almost gets annoying, is it real strawberries? Can't tell. Anyhow, it is a fruity beer, with something in there, and the sweetness is in yer face, but at least it doesn't come across like artificial strawberry candy.

Light yellow clear color. Aroma of ginger, melon, and peanut - smells similar to Pad Thai. Not overly sweet flavor, but can taste mild ginger and a cucumber flavor to balance the typical cider sweetness. Also has a subtle melon flavor at the end and also a sweet, nutty aftertaste that reminds me of Chinese or Thai food. Unusual but delicious.

Keg at Lost Valley. Clear red. Aroma of sweet berries, apple skins, smoke. Taste is vanilla, tart berries. Medium bodied. Disappointing. Vanilla overly done, elderberry character just comes across as generic berries.
