$3.65 pint can, WW. Murky gold with a soft off-white head. Mango, orange peel, floral nose. Flavor is orange peel, mango, green hops, light grapefruit flavor.

Pretty decent NEIPA. Mango with some passion fruit. Pours hazy orange. Light green onion. Some caramel. Hop tang finish. Can.

Mango nose. Opaque orange, thin head, nice lace. Pronounced mango, subtle dandelion note. Full body, easy carbonation.

Nice and clear light amber and copper coloured bodyw ith a smooth, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, resin, pineapple, flowers and pine with a lot of hop bitterness around and some alcohol and sweetness, as well! Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malt backbone at first with a pungent, grassy flavour, some flowers and a biscuity malt presence, with the pleasant sweetness from the tropical fruits and light honey bite with the strong yeast and alcohol astringency at the very end. Aftertaste is sweet and resinous with a lot of pungency and showing perhaps, too much alcohol with a biting hop bitterness that is nice and shows the complexity through the hops. Overall, a nice 'slightly' Imperial IPA with a good hop profile and a good balance throughout - very nice to sample as a local-ish beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 08-July-2019 for US$2,99 sampled just eleven days later at home here in Washington on 19-July-2019.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall deep light brown head - very nice! Aroma of roasted malt, burnt sugars, bunches of nuts, raisins, grapes and a lot of very bitter spice notes. Medium-bodied; Ultra burnt and roasted flavours dominate without much sweetness at all, only showing a dash of pitted fruits, raisins and some nuts - this really is about the bitterness and pungent grain throughout. Aftertaste has a touch of dark chocolate (~75 per cent cacao) with a touch of lactose (for the creaminess), showing some moderate sweetness and then ending with the more pungent roasted grain and oatmeal bitterness. Overall, a very deep and pungent beer - even for porters, and showing more grain and oatmeal than others in the style, with a deep and satisfying character - just not sweet and quite bitter. Nice to try!
