Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, pine resin, mandarin, tangerine, grass, hint of gooseberries.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Tidy IPA.

I have a 440 ml can obtained from my main Belgian beer retailer quite a while ago. My experience with Basqueland beers has been rather positive so I have hopes for this quadrupel. A Belgian glass ready, I open the can and pour. The body is a La Trappe quad brown with a slender cover of very fine bubbles that is consistently recharged. I get a mostly traditional quadrupel scent. Ripe fruit, grain, yeast and a sweetness somehow. The drink continues the beer's traditional roots. Red plums, raisins, baked bread, malt, a small astringency, candy and paper. No let down for me in expectations, I have a decent quad here.

It is a great beer, all the things that you could expect from an IPA, perfect bitterness, hop, a little sweet, well balanced, de la puta m.. 19.10.16, tasting it at the Axor Feria Madrid.

Can. This edition hopped with Citra Kohatu and Galaxy. The picture on the can is identical to SSD 2.0 but different hops. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light smooth pale malts provide a modicum of creamy sweetness but, the hops are the boss here. Crisp cooling pine, a little hop spice nip and a refreshing bitterness. Citrus and stone fruits bring up the back end, whisper of tropical fruits. Crisp spicy bitter finish. West Coast done right for me.

Color dorado claro, limpia y transparente, espuma blanca escasa y de corta duración. Aroma herbal y citrico, con notas de pino y resina. Ligera y chispeante en boca, herbal con destellos citricos, ligera sensación mineral, muy leve nota de mosto prefermentado que no llega en absoluto a molestar, final herbal, amargo y seco. Una sin alcohol ligera, bebible , sabrosa y refrescante, resultona y agradable.

Fra fat på Henrik, delt med BF: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Tropiske frukter, overmoden ananas, litt høy og noe urtebitterhet. Smudiknudi.
