Can from Sarah. Deep chunky brown-black body. Respectable deep beige head. This is actually quite nice. The yeast is pretty mellow, and the massive chocolate tones almost have a nitro smoothness to them. Roasty, sweet chocolate. Sugary and sweet, but that thick or overly viscous. Well done.

Bottle thanks to Ilya! Pours a clear amber red with a white head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a rich oak and tart cherry with a hint of raspberry and a hint of sweetness. Flavor is more sour with a cherry and raspberry combination backed by oakiness.

12 oz. Can Shard by Phatdog1. Super hazy yellow with thin head. Aroma is a huge amount of orange and spicy yeast.

Flavor has a wheat base with the orange, pepper, heather flowers, lavender and mild coriander. The body is mostly above average with a herbal finish. Simple and straight forward and simple to drink.

12oz can from the Locals Only Why the Hell Not trade. Pours an inky, thick black with some sudsy, creamy, bright white head. Nose has quite a bit of licorice, caramel, some vanilla, a very heavy toast - nearing burnt bread, bits of smoke and black pepper too. Flavor is sweet, licorice, some black strap molasses, very dark chocolate, a little pencil lead, hints of booze, some coffee here too. Not much of the oak that’s promised. Full bodied but also dry. Very nice.

12oz can from soonerchamps in the Local Beer BIF. Pours a very hazy, orangey gold with some frothy, fluffy white head. Nose has a lot of white bread dough right off the bat, the pepper and coriander come after, with some orange and a little bit of perfume. Flavor is interesting, sweet, orange soda, some sweet tea, some chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, some orange jam, some biscuit. Lightly sweet, otherwise clean finish. Not at all true to style, but quite enjoyable.

12oz can pours a hazy gold with a ring film of white head. Nose has quite a bit of ripe tropical fruit, some pineapple, some guava, a little Asian pear, honey, some mild spice, a little lemongrass, some yeasty notes too. Flavor is a combination of fruit and spice, a little white pepper, a little cardamom, then fruit, pineapple, pear, guava. Fruity finish. Not what I was expecting.

On tap at the 2014 OCBF. Pours a clear very dark brown with a dark brown head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has lots of roasted malts and dark grains with some smoke and a hint of molasses. Flavor is similar with dark grains and roasted malts that are joined by a bit of molasses towards the finish.
