22oz bottle, consumed slowly through the evening. Poured a dark brown color, almost the consistency of what you’d find in a dark cola. Aroma is light cinnamon, touch of light chocolate notes, some raisin. Flavor is light spices, touch of vanilla, a little licorice. Chillies come through a bit, not in terms of heat, more like a Mexican hot chocolate or something. A very mild tobacco finish.

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Dark brownish cola color with a finger of light tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, spices, some hot peppers, a bit of roasty coffee. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasty notes, some vanilla, subtle peppery spiciness. Medium body with a dry finish. Light on the peppers but quite delicious.

22oz bottle pours a watery, deep brown with some lightly lacing, cream colored head. Nose has quite a but of chocolate, some milk chocolate but also plenty of cacoa pod, some dried fruit lurking, raisin mostly, some black peppercorn, mild pencil lead, a little molasses, mild toast, some star anise. Flavor has more licorice, chocolate, some mild ancho chile, malt, brown sugar, some mild cinnamon, black pepper. The heat comes through subtly on the end. Quite nice, easy drinker with complexity.
