Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy brown color with a small off-white head. Touch bitter orange rind in there, bitter hop character. Interesting. Much more like a pale ale than an ipa, despite the abv. Would love some more floral character, I’m sure there’s some kind of hop varietal that was popular in the 90s...

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy orange-brown color with a small off-white head. Interesting aromas of flowers with some light yeast funk. It is good, but I was hoping for a little more, mostly because I saw ’table’ and was hoping for something very session-able, like a good table beer. Good otherwise, especially the herbal character in this one.

Very nice. Musky, with great roast aroma. Light caramel and big rye. Medium bitter finish with good barely profile in finish. Dark brown/black pour with ok head and lacing. Average carbonation. Tap at brewpub.

Taste of the 1990s to be sure. Reminds me of the varieties used by Bardo’s in D.C. Hops are straight bitter without a ton of flavor. Some citrus peel if anything. Amber pour without much head or lacing. I guess there’s a reason these hop varieties are ignored these days. Quite bitter. Tap at brewpub.

A little too much sugar and sweetness in this without accompanying body. Honey, with some oak and a touch of smoke. Sweet finish. Mahogany pour with ok head and lacing. Tap at brewpub.
