Je ne saurais absolument pas vous dire quel gout à la base de ce Barley Wine tant les arômes tourbés du whisky ahumado sont forts. J'avais déjà rencontré des vieillissements en futs très présents, mais je crois que celle-ci dépasse toutes celles que j'ai pu rencontrer ce qui tue le Baley Wine qui pourtant est d'une bonne densité, suave et à priori bien équilibré (je dis à priori car compliqué tout de même d'en être certain). Ici le whisky emporte tout sur son passage en étant très fort tout comme l'alcool. On aime une bière pour ce qu'elle est ... une bière.

Can. Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, sweetish malts. Taste is grassy, earthy again, strong leafy bitterness in the back. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Solid one, albeit almost a bit too earthy.

Blik gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige en hoppige geur. De smaak is fruitig, fris, licht harsig en hoppig.

Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and heavy vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Oily and soft. 220322

Bottle. Black. Lots of peat smoke, sweet chocolate, more peat, coffee, earthy roasted notes, sweet sugary. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied. Very peaty and sweet.

Can. Hazy yellow. Lots of pineapple, oats, dry weedy hops, light curry spices, orange peel. Not too sweet nd light bitter. Quite drinkeable.
