A deep dark stout with a thick creamy brown head. In aroma, a nice herbal and bitter chocolate in attack with light sulfury notes and fruity esters, a bit strange. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate, rather grassy, dry and powdery, some light fruity notes, well done. On tap at Brouhaha, Dec. 16 2011.

750 mL bottle from Secret Santa JulienHuxley. Must be 2009, as its the 750 format. I had this a couple years back and really liked it but somehow never got the rating, so I’m glad to have it tonight. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of yeast, honey, apples, wood, spice, vanilla. The taste is caramel, apples, citrus, brett, yeast, wood, spice, honey, vanilla. Slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Sampled from 750ml bottle. Poured a medium amber color, with a white head. Aroma is slightly sour, like sour apples. Apricot notes, vanilla bean notes. Light and tasty.

Bottle shared with GT2, W and M. Murky golden yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of summer fruit, flowers and grandma’s perfume. Taste is deeply sour citrus and stone fruits. Very nice.

A orange amber ale with a thick onctuous lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice crisp grassy floral hops, nice and herbal, light coriander. In mouth, a smooth saison-like ale with light fruity esters, light but nice. On tap at Bieres et Saveur, Sept.3 2011.
