Description
INNOVATION + CREATIVITY
Prairie Artisan Ales is small third wave brewery from Oklahoma. Since our founding in 2012, we have brought a unique perspective to brewing. Sometimes that means big bold barrel aged stouts and other times it means super crisp and funky farmhouse ales. Every beer we brew is wrapped in unique, expressive, and interesting art. The experience is unlike any other you can find in beer.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of decadent bourbon barrels, dark sugars, and a touch of vanillin. Flavour has a wonderful bourbon barrel that has a slightly smoky edge, a touch of vanilla, dark sugars, and medium roast. Fairly dry, barrel-heavy finish. Excellent.

12oz bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. Lots of bourbon barrels, burnt sugars, roast on the nose. Flavour has charred bourbon barrels, a bit smokey, dark sugars, roasted malts, blackstrap molasses. Very intense, big barrels, nice sugar character. This is excellent.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours slightly hazy pink with a decent white head. Aroma of pineapple and something else. Med body. Somewhat tart. Juicy. A bit astringent. Flavor of pineapple and guava, tho not sweet pink guava. Might be pink guava sweetness is lost in the tart/sour. Very refreshing. Brought Hawaiian Punch to mind. Not much similarity tho.

Bottle to snifter. Bottle stamped 10/22/2025.
Appearance: dark brown to almost black with a super thin sheen of what looked to be something oily strolling around on top and no lace whatsoever
Aroma: oreo cookies, coconut, barrel sweet woody tones and a little bit of sweet cream
Flavor: seems to combine the prior noted aromas together to a fine sweet quality with a sly roasty tone and an even slightet bitterness to it; finishes roasty and sweet with a little bit of stickiness
Texture: light to medium bodied; leaning towards being a sipper; pretty smooth along the tongue and the carb starting to fall off
Overall: despite the carb starting to fall off a bit, the aromas and flavors kept their strength.
