Pretty darn tasty for a standard Helles lager, crisp and grainy with notes of cut grass, a touch of lemon and honey, and a mild floral bitterness on the back end. Not too shabby.

Near black pour with a small tan head. Bourbon heavy aroma. Caramel, roast malt, oak, chocolate. It also tastes bourbon heavy. It’s a little hot even with some aging but it’s still good.

Boxed Bomber (22 Fl Oz), a present from my daughter and drank at her place in Laguna Hills on 17th March 2026. Dark, moody look, fast fading tanned head. Boozy, malty and fairly rich in body depth. Soft chocolate undertones, smooth nutty traces. Liked it.

16oz can. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small white head. Aroma was vanilla, woody vanilla bourbon, but not overpowering barrel. Nice bakers chocolate, decent and not overpowering barrel flavor, but not hot. A little thinner than I expected it to be.

12 oz can from a 12 pack. Aroma is sweet malts, grassy. Pours hazy golden with a one+ finger bone-white head with decent retention. Taste has a bready malt sweetness backed by light building to moderate herbal hop bitterness. Finishes dry. Crisp, clean, and refreshing.

Sampled as a vertical with the 2024. Decided to finish this off since I can still get another 2025. An identical brown-to-black beer under a fizzy tan head. The more recent beer's head fizzes away pretty quickly. Nose starts with mostly stout roasted malts, not much bourbon or wood to it. The fact that they don't describe any specific bourbons whose barrels were used suggests only that they wanted to source as many as they could to make their production. It's very fizzy, with some brusque malts and extra sweetness, all things that will likely fade over time. As a "fresh" BBA stout, it's still rough around the edges, but then I don';t to many of these this "young."

Malty, slightly roasty and earthy with some stingy woody oakiness, hints of barrel and vanilla. A bit unbalanced and harsh

22oz bottle picked up at Costco in Melbourne, FL.
Pours dark brown with a medium sized beige head, good lacing. Dark malts, bourbon, chocolate, leather, woody.
Good but it's a little thin for a 12% beer.
