Bomber from the Woodland, CA CostCo. Pours dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma of roasty malt with bourbon, nuts and chocolate. Med plus body. Flavor is pretty much the aroma plus a deal of coffee. Nuts vanished. Not dry but not at all sticky. Decently bitter. Some oak astringency. Can't pin down any hop. Very drinkable; very nice flavor.

Boxed bomber from Costco in CDA, ID. Aroma is woody, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, toffee, coconut. Pours very dark brown to black with a half finger beige head that falls into a ring fairly quickly. Taste has a moderate malty sweetness with some bitterness around the edges and some nice bourbon barrel flavors. Like last year, this beer’s biggest flaw is the thin body. With a velvety full mouthfeel, it would be much more impressive.

22 oz. bottle from Costco in Charlotte, NC. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head and fair retention. Surprisingly little lacing. Bourbon barrel aroma. The taste is similar to the aroma, with bourbon notes up front with some dark roasted and bitter dark chocolate notes in the finish. Strong alcohol, but it’s not as boozy as I expected for 12% ABV. Smooth. I don't taste the coffee flavor, and that's okay. Medium+ body. Low carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Too strong overall for me, but a decent sipper.

12 oz can purchased at the Costco in South Bend, Indiana. The pour is a clear yellow golden with a one inch foamy white head that is built up by fine carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is honey sweet malt, floral and soft clove yeast. The taste is cracker malt, the soft clean honey sweet, clove and floral in the back. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a crisp cleansing dry finish with additional soft floral.

12oz can. Pretty nice lager. Balanced, clean, well brewed. Doesn't really lean into the German Malts that much so sort of lame to call it a Helles. Really clean and easy drinking.
