Can at home. Black pour, no head. Berries and cacao, metallic tones that fade with time, barrels dont show except for some tannins. Messy.

Can, small stable light brown creamy head, opaque extremely dark brown colour, chocolate, cocoa, earthy, roasty hoppy, wax, medium herbal Grapefruit peel bitterness. Nice and interesting but a bit strange and too hoppy.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, Whisky notes, sweetish honey, some tartness. Taste: Complex mix of roasted malt, peat, moderate to over moderate tartness, hints of Balsamico vinegar, moderate to over moderate sweet honey and sweetish / fruity Rum notes, forest fruit notes, hoppy backbone. Light bitterness. Just over medium, viscuous, body. Low carbonation. A lot of flavors to explore in this complex beer / Braggot blend. Another nice La Calavera.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is wood, bretty funk, lots of red wine, grapes, malt, stone fruits, peach, some citrus, more oak and red wine throughout. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to medium sour with some bitterness in the end. Finish is slightly dry, body is medium. Very tasty Red Wine Sour, some heavier sourness would have made this stellar, nicely fruity and funky.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grapes, lots of white wine, tart fruits, vinous notes, wood, more grapes, malt, peach, yeasty with a hint of funk. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and moderate sour. Body is medium. More of a Sour/Wild Ale than a Belgian Strong Ale. Anyway, this is quite good!
